ABOUT AVANCE

The Association for the Advancement of Latinos in Sports (AVANCE) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit business organization with a mission to advance the success and economic mobility of Latinos in the sports industry. Membership is open to individuals currently employed, wanting to break in or own their own business in the sports industry, students interested in a career in sports, and corporations that support the AVANCE mission.

Sports is a massive business sector that has profound influence on American culture. AVANCE envisions a sports industry that is achieving its full potential economically and reputationally, where Latinos are thriving and participating at all levels of the industry.

To advance professional and economic opportunities for Latinos in the sports industry.

AVANCE achieves its mission by:

ADVOCACY: Latinos are one of the main drivers of audience and revenue growth in the sports industry. As a result, the sports economy benefits from having a significant Latino presence at all levels of the industry including ownership, executive management, administration, media, coaching and talent on and off the field.

DATA & EDUCATION: AVANCE serves as an educational resource for the sports industry by providing data and information about the increasing impact of Latinos in sports

NETWORKING & MENTORSHIPS: AVANCE organizes events and conferences where members and stakeholders come together to share information, build connections, engage with mentors and conduct business
