AVANCE’s mission is to advance professional and economic opportunities for Latinos in the sports industry. This is achieved through advocacy, education and mentorship.

AVANCE was founded by Gary Acosta, the co-founder of NAHREP and L’ATTITUDE, two of the largest Latino business organizations in America. AVANCE’s strategic plan is guided by a world-class board of advisors that includes several leading sports industry leaders and executives.

AVANCE network participation is open to anyone in the sports industry or those who aspire to be in the sports industry and support the organization’s mission to advance professional and economic opportunities for Latinos in the sports business. There are four types of membership: student, professional, Executive, and corporate partnership. More information can be found on the Membership page.

Depending on the type of network participation, individuals receive numerous benefits, including access to conferences, wealth-building networks, and exclusive networking opportunities. Additionally, participation supports AVANCE’s research and advocacy initiatives.

AVANCE believes the sports economy benefits from having a significant Latino presence at all levels of the industry, including ownership, management, administration, media, coaching, and talent on the field and court.

AVANCE hosts networking events and conferences that provide participants with opportunities to make connections, learn directly from industry leaders, and share information.

AVANCE serves as an educational resource for the sports industry by providing data and information about the increasing impact of Latinos in sports.
